Introductions

Introductions

Thought I'd introduce "The Family and The Farm":

"The Family" consists of myself (Danelle), husband, and our two kids who are 6 and 3 1/2.

"The Farm":  Stori Stables is its semi-official name.  "Tori" was the very first horse I owned.  I added the "s" onto the front of his name for "Stormy", my second horse and a current resident of Stori Stables.

The other residents of Stori Stables are:

Flicka - Our miniture pinto mare for the kids.

Nikki - My warmblood whom I bought a couple of years ago to fulfill my dream of returning to the hunter jumper showring.

Stormy - My sweet, dependable, retired, Thoroughbred.

Fred - Our giant black lab whom the kids have inexplicably renamed "Egg".

The Goats:  Oh My and Oh Dear

The Bunny - Blueberry  (Our other bunny, Sweet Pea, recently passed away)

The Chickens - There's five of them and they don't have names.

The outside animals are rounded out by the "Aquatic Dept." inside - a fish tank in each kids' room full of unnamed fish and the turtles - "Cream" and "Wheat".

Words to Live By

"If you didn't know how old you were, how old would you be?"  (I don't know who to attribute this to; I saw it on a card.)

"There is no 'try'.  There is only 'do' or 'do not'."  (I think Yoda told Luke Skywalker that.)

"Discipline is the bridge between dreams and accomplishment."  Steffen Peters

"Faith is taking the first step, even when you can't see the whole staircase."  Martin Luther King, Jr. (I think - apologies if I slightly misquoted)
